Burris optics

Burris Optics was established forty years ago, in 1971, by Don Burris, who was previously trained in the Colorado-based optics company Redfield. An expert in product design, Burris was responsible for Redfield’s accu-range scopes and centered non-magnifying reticle scopes. It’s not surprising therefore that he needed to build an enterprise bearing his own name.

The company’s first optic was named the Fullfield, and this was introduced to the market in 1975. The event resulted in overwhelming success, enabling the founder to expand this line to seven models. After a few years, the company became America’s first optics manufacturer to offer riflescopes with multicoated lenses.

Don Burris passed away in 1988, but the company he built continues to expand and prosper until today. Burris Optics’ production line does not stop from growing, its technologies unceasingly improve and come up with new scopes, sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, mounts, and many other accessories.

Serving the dedicated huntsmen, the company focuses their strengths on producing scopes that meet the demands of modern. The excellent reputation of Burris is a result of its fast response to new technologies that consequently come up with many prize-winning specialty scopes. Currently the company boasts more than 200 configurations of optics, its team committed to advising customers which tools are the best for them.

Some of the more popular Burris Optics hunting scopes are the Six X, Fullfield, and Black Diamond. All of these are designed with the best length, weight, and mounting profile for sighting, not mentioning precision-ground lenses that boast of ultimate sharpness and contrast. Ergonomic in all dimensions, these scopes ensure that huntsmen are in full control of their gears, providing the most convenient fingertip adjustments, complex dials, and eye reliefs.

Burris also presently offers two series of binoculars namely Signature Select and Landmark II. While this line up is not that extensive, the company ensured that these offerings would make a mark in the market. Critics praise the company’s ability to offer binoculars with the same precision and quality in their specialty rifle scopes.

Next to scopes, its sights are the hallmarks of Burris Optics’ excellence. Lines like the FastFire, Speedbead, and Prism are designed to safeguard hunters’ shooting speed and accuracy. These sights greatly simplify the process of aiming by helping the handler easily focus on and align the target. Like any Burris offerings, these sights are made of metal promising the highest levels of strength and durability. Their lenses too are precision ground and engineered to give exacting geometries and clear sight picture.

It goes without saying that the company produces all types of mounts for its diverse collection of scopes. Burris rings and bases can be characterized in three words—strong, precise, beautiful. Selections come with all sizes and configurations, turning every Burris Optics scope owner a brand loyalist.

And speaking of loyalty, the company does not fall short in providing accessories. Hunters are given a complete package for all their sighting and shooting needs. Burris has an extensive collection of tripods, window mounts, scope covers, sun shades, targets, among many others.
